I saw eternity the other night,

a great ring of pure endless light*

And in the rainy darkest hour,

the hope in your heart dies,

dies but doesn’t cower.

And when the sun shines again,

open your eyes and let the light in.

Let the warm rays touch your heart,

and feel your hope awake with a start.

Be strong,

stand boldly,

sing to the sky,

and let me cradle you,

 sleepy angel,

my only.

First two line are froma a poem called The World by  Henry Vaughan.
